Ten Peeves that Dogs Have About Humans

[font="Comic Sans MS"][b]1. Blaming your farts on me . . not funny . . not funny at all!!!

2. Yelling at me for barking . . I'M A FRIGGIN' DOG, YOU IDIOT!

Exactly whose walk is this anyway?

My New Beds by Leon - English Setter

Yes, you read it correctly, I'm a very lucky boy in that mummy bought me two beds, one for at home and one for in the unit.

I heard mummy telling daddy that she had sold some stuff on ebay and wanted to get me some beds that would be all snuggly for the winter...there isn't any heating on in the unit at the moment and it gets a bit nippy in there, even with the little fan blower on me I still h...

Freedom Project - it's gone a bit Pete Tong.

We had our monthly home visit last week and found out that the Freedom Project has lost contact with A's owner. I don't know any details, but it may mean that she has to be rehomed. Apparently it's something that does sometimes happen for any number of reasons. I don't even want to think about what might have happened to A's owner.

We more or less decided that she wil stay with me while she ...

My New Home by Bradley - English Setter

Hello everyone, Bradders here

My new mummy Kim has only just been able to send some piccies to my first mummy Sheree, and she has helped me to write and let you know how I'm doing and stuff.

Firstly, I'm not sad here, I have a lovely home and two brothers (Rupert and Harvie) to play with, and two boys..William and Cory, who give me really big cuddles and take me for walks.

Here's me do...

Finally Found A Dog Walking Friend!

I'm one of those people who prefer a few close friends rather than hundreds who arent that close to me. I dont make friends that easily and tend to only socialise at work and spend my free time with the dogs. Anyway, none of my friends own dogs so i've always walked them alone. Sometimes my boyfriend would come with me but to be honest, he just added stress to what was supposed to be a de-stressin...

Freedom project - going well so far...

I feel like we've had A with us for a long time now. I'm guessing it feels like a million times longer for her owner. I was thinking the other day that having A has helped me become less nervous around dogs.

I was bitten badly when I was 12 years old by a friend's bullmastiff and was very scared of dogs for a long time. Then my Aunty got a Bedlington terrier (owned by my step-dad now) and I ...

Dylan at 7.1/2 weeks old

After searching for nearly 2 years to buy our own boy and being lied to about pedigrees and problems in their lines, we finally have our own little boy! His name is Dylan, he's 7.1/2 weeks old and son of our Inca/Archie. Both of Dylans parents are Optigen/FN/Glaucoma clear, Dylan will be tested although his parents DNA tests should mean he is also clear by parentage, so welcome to our home Dylan...

My new life - by Bear

Hai! I'm Bear!

My foster mummy is helping me write this because apparently I don't have opposable thumbs. I thought I could do it just fine but she said no, last thing she needs is the blue screen of death again today - whatever that means...

So my name is Bear and I came along rather unexpectedly into my foster mummy'...

Hydrotherapy For Dogs

Hydrotherapy for Dogs.
As of yet there is no formal study or course for canine hydrotherapy and as of September 2005 there are no formally recognised qualifications in canine hydrotherapy. Some centres, try to set benchmark standards of treatment, operation, training, supervision, first aid, record keeping and water quality for all clients. At Quincy’s we also conduct research into canine ...

Freedom Project - 3 months on

We still have the gorgeous A living with us. Our Project worker came for a home visit the other day and got covered in Staffy slobber!

She told me that A's oner had to go back into the refuge so that A could stay on the Project. That's how much this lady wants her dog back. I can imagine that A is the only thing that is keeping her going right now. At least there's no sign of her going back...

Week 3 - New Addition Update

We are coming to the end of the 3rd week with our 3 year old rescue BC and what a transformation!

During the first week Jessie wouldnt eat, wouldnt play, wouldnt even go to the toilet properly. If I raised my voice she would run for the hills (even though it wasnt directed at her), pick up an object and she would cower. Out on walks she slinked along behind me and wouldnt mingle with the other ...

Just Me & Mummy - by Leon (English Setter)

Some of you may have known that mummy went to stay at Mr Clives house for a few days, she was upset about something so he said to come over and he would look after her.

Well, mummy's usual dogsitter couldn't sort us out as much as mummy likes her to so Mr Clive said that if she could arrange for Fabey and Bradley to be looked after, I could go over to his house too!

I'm special you see, beca...

News from Minnesota

Am boiling a chicken on this lovely Saturday afternoon, so I can make chicken salad to take with me tomorrow on a caravan (only two cars) to see my new puppy.

Yes, the old woman from Minnesota who has done Boxer rescue for 20 years is buying a Boxer puppy for $1100.
($400 discount because I am a rescuer.)

Like many women who approach their late 30's, I have had an intense desire to have...

Inca's surprise delivery!

Inca had her first season at just over 2 years old and then her second came 13 months later, but it wasn't a proper season and my vet said he thought she was probably infertile. Lily had already been mated and I wasn't sure I was ready to take on two litters at the same time, but knew if I waited another 13 months Inca would be 4.1/2 years old which I personally feel is too old for a first litter...
